Our Story
Eight years ago, John asked Jess on a first date. She said yes — to skydiving.
That probably tells you everything you need to know about us.
We’re John and Jess, a couple from Janesville, Wisconsin who believe the best moments in life happen when you put down your phone, say yes to something slightly terrifying, and show up fully for the people you love.
Between us we have 7 kids and 2 grandkids. We know what it means to find connection in the chaos.
We didn’t start this blog because we had it all figured out. We started it because we kept noticing the same thing — life gets busy, blended schedules take over, and suddenly you’re sitting next to the people you love most and you can’t remember the last time you were really together. Not scrolled together. Not watched something together. Actually together.
Adventure fixed that for us. Every time.
It doesn’t have to be skydiving. It can be a waterfall you’ve never seen, a campfire two hours from home, a hiking trail the grandkids will talk about for years. We’ve spent years in and around campgrounds watching families arrive stressed and leave something closer to whole. That’s not an accident. Something happens when you get outside together.
We live in Janesville but our backyard is the whole Midwest — and we’re here to help you find your next reason to get out in it.
